Legend of Sleepy Hollow Fall Festival

Frazier Park, California
October 20, 2007

The first annual Legend of Sleepy Hollow Fall Festival took place on a sunny but crisp October day. The event was fun for the whole family set in the Colonial times of Ichabod Crane and company. Games of nine pin and sack races challenged patrons, along with demonstrations of axe throwing and log chopping. The American Jousting Alliance performed a Jousting show just before dusk complete with spear throwing, sword fighting in the list and several courses of jousting.

A live adaptation of Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was scheduled at dusk, complete with a guest appearance by the Headless Horseman, but unfortunately was not performed.
