It's a girl!
The American Jousting Alliance is pleased to announce the birth of Flower, a Norwegian Fjord/Percheron/Shire cross out of Julie by Claudius. She's a beautiful baby who, at just three weeks old in this photo, is already a social butterfly who enjoys meeting new people and showing off just how high she can kick up her heels!

Brutus
Brutus is a Shire cross gelding, originally bred as a pack horse in Jackson, Wyoming. He has helped me train more people, young and old, and put smiles on more faces than any horse I've ever worked wtih. He's done many shows with us as a jousting horse and also excells at parades, pulling, roman riding and as a Rosinback horse.

Claudius
Claudius is a Percheron/Shire cross stallion, originally bred to be a championship pulling horse. I can thank my friend, Dr. Steve Pherson, for this horse. He starts and stops like a quarterhorse, is exhilarating to ride, beautiful to watch, and truly enjoys his job as a jousting horse. He's a great jumper, and can handle the roughest terrain you have the guts to put him through. He's easy to handle and has immense courage and pride, without the ego.

Iron
Iron is a purebred Percheron stallion. He was bred in Illinois and given the registered name "Iron Giant." Iron began his jousting career with me at the age of two years. This proved to me how brave a horse he was. He jumps very well for such a big boy. He's got a scopey gallop with nice long legs that he passes on to his babies.

Julie
Julie is a registered Norwegian Fjord. She has had five beautiful babies to date from Percheron stallions. She has worked with us in many live shows as a skill-at-arms horse and has also done some film work as well. She's a gentle, intelligent mare with a spritely side that matches her striking blonde/brunette 'do. Above all, she's an excellent mother. Her newest youngster is the filly Flower.

Randa
Randa is a Percheron/Norwegian Fjord cross out of Julie and an impressive yet compact Percheron jousting stallion named Mavros. She has become an excellent vaulting horse and is fast and flashy when ridden for skill-at-arms games. A seasons performer, Randa is used to traveling and the hustle and hustle of the show ring. Like her mother, she's can be feisty and works better with experienced riders. |

Remmy
Remmy is a Percheron/Norwegian Fjord cross out of Julie and sired by Iron. He inherited both his parents' personalities in excess - he's a real spitfire with a knack for mischeif. Fortunately, he also has his father's nice, lopey gallop and the hardiness of his mother.

Rocko
Rocko is maturing into wonderful colt who will make a fine vaulting horse in the future. At two years old, he's now just beginning his education under saddle.

Ty
Look at how he's grown! Born on April 20, 2007 to a Percheron/Thoroughbred mare named Ariel, sired by Claudius. He's a perfect match of his mother's even, loving personality and his father's dashing looks. Now at one year old he's just beginning his groundwork training for a future as a confident jousting horse and productive member of the Alliance herd. |
