MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission for each and every day camp is for the children to have fun learning how to safely participate in various outdoor activities. We teach our young students that physical activity is exhilarating and essential for healthy lifestyles.

OBJECTIVES

 

  1. Our objectives in offering these camps are to encourage children to be more active as well as exposing them to new activities and skills.
  1. We do our best to inspire them to appreciate, and preserve nature's animals and plants and the land they thrive in.
  1. Another important objective is that we strive to bring out in each individual more of an awareness of , who they are and what positive things they are capable of.

No charge to Counselors that wish to participate.

 

 

Additional entertainment:

The American Jousting Alliance will be happy to present medieval jousting and equestrian skill-at-arms demonstrations for an additional fee upon request. (subject to minimal price increase)

CAMP LOCATION

 

The Lockwood Valley Youth Camp as the name implies is located in beautiful Lockwood Valley, just west of Frazier Park, California.

Directions to camp:

Interstate 5 up the "grapevine" to the Frazier Park off ramp. Frazier Mountain Parkway west for approximately 6 miles to Lockwood Valley Road. Turn left on Lockwood Valley Road and proceed for another 6 miles to Greenleaf Springs Road. Turn right and follow the "Joust" signs to the camp.

ADDITIONAL CAMP INFORMATION

 

 

 

The Lockwood Valley Youth Camp is located on the site of the American Jousting Alliance Training Headquarters.

Founder and Director James Zoppe has been training children and adults for almost 30 years. The primary focus of Mr. Zoppe is for all participants to have fun, learn, exercise and be safe. Staff, teachers, instructors and counselors share in this focus.

Registered Nurse on site.

Portable bathroom facilities on site.
